The Bull Tavern is a Grade I listed, thatched traditional ale house in Sturminster Newton, with a history dating back to the 15th century. Its original character has been lovingly preserved, while the kitchen, facilities and large beer garden have been thoughtfully brought up to date.
As well as serving traditional cask ales, such as Dorset Gold and Dorset Rouge, we also offer an extensive selection of speciality spirits, draught and bottled lager and cider, alongside an impressive range of zero alcohol spirits, Birra Moretti Zero and Guiness 0.0.
From hearty traditional dishes to beautifully prepared steaks, Sunday roasts and vegetarian options, our menus are created with real care and pride by Head Chef Tony Moore in our Sturminster Newton kitchen.
Alongside our Tavern menus, the Tearoom serves brunch, afternoon tea and traditional Dorset cream teas.
